The large Model 34 appeared on the market in 1998. It was specially developed as the match pistol for the so-called Practical/Tactical shooting discipline of the International Defense Pistol Association (IDPA). In addition, it is used by various Tactical Response teams of the American Police. The first model had a flat grip and fixed rear sight but this was modified in 1999. The newer model has integrated finger grooves in the grip a rear sight that is adjustable on the side and an ambidextrous enlarged magazine catch. Model 34, in 9 mm Para caliber has a magazine capacity of 17 or 19 rounds depending on the magazine that is used. The total length is 207 mm (8in). The barrel has a length of 135 mm (5 /4 in), and a hexagonal profile with a right-hand twist of 250 mm (10in). The sight radius is 192 mm ( 7 ½ in). The weapon weighs 650g (23oz) without the magazine. The standard trigger pressure is 2000g (4 ½ lb). Model 34 comes standard with a compensator integrated in the barrel.
