Model 25 was introduced at the IWA, the International Arms Fair, in Nurnberg, Germany, in 1995. This Glock pistol is in 9 mm Short .380 ACP caliber. This was a rimless, straight-sided cartridge that was designed by John Browning. It was specifically designed for pistols that did not have a barrel lock-up mechanism and therefore had a low breech pressure. The market had indicated that Glock should add a model in this caliber to its range. The weapon has a standard magazine capacity of 15 rounds and with a special magazine, even of 17 rounds. Nevertheless it is only 30 mm (1 in) wide. The American Crime Bill prohibits a magazine capacity of more than 10 rounds for civilian use. Because of this restriction on the magazine capacity and heavy completion, this model is not for sale in the USA. The pistol has a total length of 174 mm (7in). The barrel has a length of 102 mm (4 in) and a hexagonal profile with a right-hand twist of 250 mm (10in). The height of the weapon is 127 mm (5in) and the weight is 570g (20oz) without the magazine. The trigger pressure is about 2500g (5 ½ lb).
